To inform our class discussion of behavioral finance and the role of framing in financial decisions please complete this simulated, simplified investing game. You will begin with 20 class points to invest.
In the first round of the game, you will choose what percentage of your points to allocate to Fund A or Fund B. (You must allocate all your points to one fund or the other. You have no other information on the funds at this point.)
In the each of the ensuing rounds, you will receive information about the performance of the funds. You can choose to reallocate your points during each round.
The game does not calculate the point value of the funds after each round. If you want this information, please consider tracking your returns yourself as the game proceeds.
The game will last for 20 years. That's a lot of rounds. You should expect the game will become boring and repetitive.
